Elite TE Linkon Cure 'enjoying' return visit to Oregon
One of the nation’s top tight end prospects traveled to the West Coast this weekend.
It’s the second time on campus at Oregon for Goodland (Kan.) four-star tight end Linkon Cure. He wanted to get back to Eugene one time before his scheduled official visit the weekend of June 14.
Cure is the nation’s No. 34 overall prospect, No. 2 tight end and No. 2 recruit from Kansas in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
“I figured we’d just go on an OV there but Link said it was important to be back there for the spring game,” Cure’s father Greg told On3 earlier this week.
After this trip, Cure will visit Texas A&M the first weekend of May. Other contenders include Kansas and Kansas State among others. He was on the Jayhawks campus earlier this spring. He will take an official visit to KSU June 21. The Wildcats currently lead in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), which would give Cure the opportunity to play close to home.
Multiple top prospects in town for Ducks spring game
Multiple elite recruits in the 2025 and 2026 recruiting classes are in Eugene for Oregon’s spring game this weekend. The list of names includes Savannah (Ga.) Christian Five-Star Plus+ defensive lineman Elijah Griffin, Zephyrhills (Fla.) Five-Star Plus+ cornerback DJ Pickett and Reserve (La.) St. Augustine 2026 five-star defensive lineman. Jahkeem Stewart.
Oregon has had Stewart on campus before, but it will look to boost its stock with one of the top prospects in the entirety of high school football.
“If he’s looking to reclassify, it now becomes a really big visit, versus ‘oh well it’s a really good player in 2026, there’s a ways to go.’ If you take a year off of that, there’s a lot less time there,” Oregon insider Justin Hopkins said this week. “So yeah, a very paramount visit for Oregon — to what I feel is to kinda stay in the mix there, stay in that top five, if you will.”
