Former UTSA guard Jordan Ivy-Curry has committed to UCF out of the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned.

Ivy-Curry committed to UCF despite interest being shown from both Auburn and Wake Forest. The 6-foot-3 junior averaged 17.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game for the Roadrunners this past season.

He scored 30 or more points on two occasions last season. One was a 38-point performance against against FAU in overtime. The other came during the second to last game of the regular season against SMU where he scored 33 points thanks, in part, to five-made 3-pointers. He averaged 20.0 points over his final four games as a Roadrunner.

Before committing to UCF, Ivy-Curry had previously committed to Virginia Tech out of the NCAA Transfer Portal, but reopened his recruitment, ultimately choosing to play his college basketball in Orlando next season.

Coming out of high school, Ivy-Curry was a three-star recruit, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.

In On3’s Transfer Portal Player Rankings, Ivy-Curry ranked as the No. 188 transfer and No. 26 shooting guard available in the spring transfer portal window at the time of his commitment.

Report: Texas A&M, UCF set up home-and-home series

According to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, Texas A&M and UCF have set up a home-and-home series with one another, beginning this upcoming season.

UCF will play host during the 2024-2025 season, with the two being each other’s opener on Nov. 4. The Knights will then travel to College Station next fall in what should be a fun matchup between Big 12 and SEC members.

“Texas A&M and UCF will begin a home-and-home series on November 4th — the opening night of the 2024-25 season — in Orlando, according to a source,” Rothstein said via X. “Return game in College Station in 2025-26.”

Scheduling news has begun to leak across college basketball and head coaches are hoping to put themselves in a position to make the NCAA Tournament in 2025.

Texas A&M has relied on the SEC Tournament too many times to earn an automatic qualifying bid in the past few seasons. Buzz Williams has done a better job scheduling Power Conference opponents and UCF is just the latest example.
