Odds for UConn vs. Syracuse

The line for the UConn vs. Syracuse second-round game is out. The Huskies are favored by 20 points, according to DraftKings. The over-under for the game is set at 145.5 points. As for the money line, UConn is a -6500 favorite. Betting Syracuse on the money line pays out at +2000.

It’s a bit surprising to see the line so lopsided. After all, Syracuse finished 23-7 (13-5) in the regular season, finishing tied for second in the ACC.

However, it’s clear that Las Vegas is a big believer in this UConn team. The Huskies have been hot lately and have won 10 consecutive games since falling at South Carolina in February.

Paige Bueckers leads the way for the Huskies, averaging 21.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game. Bueckers shoots 54 percent from the field and an impressive 42 percent from 3-point range.

It’s not all Bueckers, though. UConn also gets excellent play from forward Aaliyah Edwards down low. She is averaging 17.8 points and 9.4 rebounds per game on the season.

As for Syracuse, the Orange are led by senior Dyaisha Fair. The New York native is averaging 22.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists on the season. Georgia Woolley also scored in double figures for the Orange, averaging 13.7 points per game. A big key for the Huskies will be to slow down that duo. It should be a fun game, even if Vegas doesn’t expect it to be close.
