West Coast LB Noah Mikhail | USC, Oregon, & Texas A&M | Where will the Elite LB Land?

2025 La Verne (Calif.) Bonita linebacker Noah Mikhail is closing on making his college commitment. On Thursday, the elite Southern California product set a decision date for June 30, according to Chad Simmons of On3.

Mikhail, a 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker, is one of the top prospects in his region and has long been linked to the Oregon Ducks.

With offers from every corner of the country, the three schools that have seem to have the most traction in his recruitment are Oregon, USC and Texas A&M.

He’s set official visits to each of those schools. He’ll visit Oregon June 14-16, USC June 7-9 and Texas A&M June 21-23.

The touted linebacker spoke with On3’s Phillip Dukes at the end of April about why the Ducks are standing out in his recruitment.

“Same thing, defensive-minded head coach, Coach (Dan) Lanning. He’s a great coach. Coach (Tosh) Lupoi, he was in the league for a little bit, they’ve got that NFL style to them. I like the competitiveness of Oregon. They’re always going to be good, they’re always going to be competing at the highest level.”

The Ducks are just getting things started with defensive recruits in their 2025 class, with Mater Dei EDGE/linebacker Nasir Wyatt announcing his pledge to Dan Lanning and Oregon last week. De La Salle defensive lineman Matthew Johnson is the only other defensive commit for the Ducks.

Oregon’s 2025 recruitng class ranks No. 7 nationally according to On3 and is headlined by five-star Florida wide receiver Dallas Wilson and San Diego quarterback Akili Smith Jr. The Ducks are pursuing plenty of elite prospects on defense including Florida defensive back DJ Pickett, Ohio defensive back Trey McNutt and North Carolina defensive lineman Trajen Odom to name a few.
