Deion SandersCoach Prime docuseries, which is following the coach as he rebuilds the Colorado Buffaloes, will return for a third season with Amazon Prime Video, it was revealed on Tuesday.

The news was shared at Amazon’s 2024 upfront presentation, where they announced a bevy of other fascinating sports-related content, as well.

Coach Prime has been renewed for a third Season at Amazon Prime Video,” Salome Hailu of Variety reported. “The docuseries, which centers University of Colorado Boulder football coach Deion Sanders, is executive produced by SMAC Entertainment’s Constance Schwartz-Morini, Michael Strahan, FredAnthony Smith, and Jamie Elias as well as showrunner Micah Brown.

“The news was announced at Amazon’s 2024 upfront presentation, during which the company also announced greenlights for four new sports documentaries: an untitled Earnhardt project, an untitled Madden NFL project, an anthology titled Game 7 produced by Danny DeVito and a true crime doc titled ChiefsAholic: A Wolf in Chiefs Clothing produced by Drake.”

The show hasn’t been a distraction for Sanders and company yet, as they’ve excelled with all the pomp and circumstance surrounding his coaching career. If anything, it’s helped add to his teams, instead of subtract.

We’ll see if that’s the case again in 2024, as Deion Sanders leads Colorado back into the Big 12, with his son Shedeur Sanders, the quarterback of the Buffaloes, likely playing his final season of college football, as well. There will be no shortage of storylines, that’s for sure.

Amazon Prime Video announces ‘profound, revealing’ Dale Earnhardt Sr. documentary

In addition to Season 3 of Coach Prime, Amazon Prime Video is moving into the NASCAR world next season, and they’re promising some amazing content, jumping in full-speed ahead.

On Tuesday, they revealed something that figures to be awesome for racing fans, announcing a documentary on Dale Earnhardt Sr. is in the works at Prime Video Sports, promising it to be “a profound, revealing, and definitive account of a historic American family.”

In addition to the documentary, Amazon Prime Video will also develop a host of other NASCAR-related content, including hosting numerous races during the summer next season, which will coincide with the freshly-minted 32-driver tournament that was announced earlier this week

Dale Earnhardt Jr. will also be on the call when NASCAR is on Amazon Prime Video, joining their booth, as well as TNT Sports’ when they takeover after Amazon Prime Video. He’s sure to have a gigantic role in helping develop the aforementioned documentary, as well.

When it’s finally released, it should be something to behold, as Amazon Prime Video has proven to be a quality content distributor since getting into the streaming game. Netflix set the bar high with their in-season documentary, but the Dale Earnhardt Sr. story could blow it out of the water if done right.
