Duncanville (Texas) Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver Dakorien Moore has decommitted from LSU.

He was pledged to the Tigers since Aug. 12. Texas, Ohio State and Oregon are three teams that have remained in heavy pursuit of Moore throughout his recruitment and have continued to get the 5-foot-11, 175-pounder on campus for visits.

Moore is the No. 3 overall prospect and top-ranked wideout in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 1 player in Texas.

Moore told On3’s Chad Simmons in April that he was still open to the three teams looking to flip him from LSU. When asked what it would take to get him to back off his pledge to the Tigers, he said this:

“I really can’t put it into words. I’m really just seeing what everybody else has got to offer. Of course what LSU showed me got me to commit, so that’s where I’m at, but I’m really just seeing the little things piece by piece, seeing what everybody else has got to show me.”

Now, he’s back on the board as the most intriguing prospect in the cycle. The Ducks, Buckeyes and Longhorns will all look to make a move, while LSU also won’t be going anywhere.

“I’ve been wanting to play there since I was little, so you can’t change my dream,” Moore previously said of LSU.

Dakorien Moore Scouting Summary

On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power writes this of Moore as a prospect:

“Skilled receiver with a well-rounded skill set who stars for one of the tip high school programs in the state of Texas. Measured at around 5-foot-10.5, 175 pounds prior to his junior season. Touts top speed on the track, running a wind-aided 10.63 mark in the 100 meters as a sophomore. Shows a refined and well-rounded skill set as a receiver both on Friday nights and in the camp setting. Has the long speed to separate deep and take the top off of defenses. Shifty after the catch and uses his field vision to find open space, sometimes cutting back across the field. Looks to have plus ball skills, with the ability to make acrobatic catches. Shows reliable, strong hands at the catch point in the camp setting. Turned in a good sophomore season for the Texas state champions, catching 44 passes for 767 yards and seven touchdowns.”
