Ricky Stenhouse Jr. punches Kyle Busch, brawl ensues on pit road after All-Star Race wreck
We have got a situation at North Wilkesboro! Ricky Stenhouse Jr. waited and bided his time to fight Kyle Busch after the race. A good old-fashioned NASCAR altercation at a good old-fashioned track.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was put into the wall by Kyle Busch on Lap 2 of the 200 lap race. With $1,000,000 on the line, both drivers were on edge and looking for every edge they could gain early in the race.
Busch felt that Stenhouse pinched him into the wall. So, he came back and wrecked Stenhouse. Well, this is the ultimate result of that – Ricky got a good punch in!
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. has a right to be mad. He was wrecked on Lap 2 and had to sit in the infield the whole time and fume about it. On the replay, it even looks like Stenhouse didn’t really do anything wrong. He ran up the middle and Busch got into the wall.
Then, Busch just put Stenhouse into the wall. Straight up, Rowdy wrecked him. It was enough to make Stenhouse angry enough for two hours. Think about that – he was mad enough to sit for 198 laps and still throw punches.

When Ricky Stenhouse Jr. said he was going to tell Richard Childress to hold his watch, he wasn’t kidding. He was about the smoke and got right into Kyle Busch’s face and proved it. Not many would willingly pick a fight with Rowdy of all drivers.
We should have listened when he told everyone he was going to pick a fight.
“Yeah we got a really good start, he left the door wide open, went through the middle, almost had him clear, the 34 kind of ran up the track and we all just kind of touched there,” Stenhouse said, via Toby Christie. “Nothing major. Then Kyle tried to wreck me in three and four and finally did wreck me there in one and two.”
He even told Kyle Busch’s crew chief what he was going to do.
“I told Randall that, first I parked it there because I figured that Kyle would probably do something similar. Then just told Randall that you can tell Kyle that I’ll see him afterwards over the radio since there’s no tunnel here I can’t leave. So, I’ll be here when the race is over.”
Note to self: Always believe Ricky Stenhouse Jr. when he talks about fighting people.
