Decision Day: Will Alabama land top-20 SG Kris Parker?
The recruitment of top-100 basketball prospect Kris Parker will finally reach the finish line on Friday. After previously planning to commit on Dec. 12, Parker is set to reveal his college decision later today.
Last fall, the product of Quincy (Fla.) Crossroad Academy took official visits to Alabama (9/17), UCF (9/24), and Villanova (11/12). He was previously scheduled to take an official to Missouri in December, though that trip did not materialize.

Who leads for Alabama target Kris Parker on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine?
Parker has kept his recruitment as close to the vest as any high school prospect can. The No. 87 overall recruit in the country has not completely shut down doing interviews, but isn’t tipping his hand to the public or behind the scenes.
As a result, it’s currently viewed as a tight race for Parker on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. The On3 RPM — which takes into account data, visits, and other factors — gives UCF (34.4 percent) the slight edge over Alabama (30.1 percent) right now.
Villanova is close with those two as they have a 25.8 percent chance of landing Parker, per the RPM.
Switching over to Alabama’s pursuit of Parker, the program extended an offer to him on July 7, 2022. Head coach Nate Oats visited him at his school on Sept. 9 prior to his official visit to Tuscaloosa.
Parker has not spoken with BamaInsider since that visit, but did talk with Tipton about Bama earlier this week.
“Nate Oats has really changed the perspective of Alabama being a football school,” Parker told Tipton. “They’re now in the conversation of the best teams in college basketball.”
Stay tuned to BamaInsider later today to see if the Crimson Tide will add signee No. 5 in this recruiting cycle. The program has signed Davin Cosby (currently enrolled), Mouhamed Dioubate, in-state guard R.J. Johnson, and Sam Walters thus far.

“Kris Parker is a long and rangy wing. He has confidence on the ball in the half-court, and his ability as a shotmaker continues to rise. He will need to continue adding strength and overall sharpening his tools and shot selection. There is a lot of natural talent here. There is an upside still to go, and the intrigue lies with the fact he continues to get a little better each time out.”
