Issues with the 12 team playoff

I love the fact that 12 teams can get in. Assuming the home teams win 3 out of four then the losing teams essentially traveled for an away game and have no bowl like experience when they would of made a nice bowl under the 4 team playoff format.

The big loser every year will be the one G5 team that makes it, they will travel to like call it LSU and get their arse kicked and their fan base would have not really enjoyed it because it will have been a home game for LSU.

This is a fine point. In my head, I figured the 5-12 games would be like a play-in game, then "bowl season" would start which included the quarterfinal matchups and all the other bowl games, which the 5-12 losers would be eligible for. Who knows tho
