Auburn wide receiver Koy Moore entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned. He originally started his career at LSU and has played four total seasons of college football.

Moore only hauled in three catches for 24 yards in 2023 but he had broken out with 314 yards the year prior, his first with Auburn after transferring away from the other Tigers.

Moore, who is listed at six-feet tall and 190 pounds, entered the transfer portal in October of 2021 initially after a tough sophomore season, which came on the heels of a solid freshman year in which he had 22 receptions for 177 yards. His best game at LSU was his last of that freshman season against Ole Miss. Moore had six catches for 63 yards, both career-highs at the time.

Moore was an On3 Consensus four-star recruit in the 2020 class out of Archbishop Rummel High School in Metairie, La. He was ranked the No. 337 overall recruit in the countryNo. 64 wide receiver and No. 14 recruit in Louisiana. He signed with LSU over offers from GeorgiaFloridaOregon and Tennessee, among many others.

Moore not the only Auburn WR to enter portal

Another Auburn wide receiver also entered the transfer portal druring this spring portal as Jay Fair went into the NCAA transfer portal. However, he’s already found a new home, catching on at USC.

The new Trojan wideout was a two-year starter for the Tigers, though most of his stats came during his sophomore season. As a true freshman, he caught two passes on the season for 35 yards. He saw a massive spike in production in 2023, hauling in 31 catches for 324 yards and two touchdowns.

The most impressive outing of his season last year saw him haul in seven receptions in a September outing against Samford. He totaled 93 yards but failed to reach the end zone. His lone touchdowns on the season came during the first two games he played in against UMass and Cal, respectively.

Before he enrolled at Auburn, Fair was a three-star recruit in the 2022 recruiting cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He was the. No. 548 overall player and the No. 87 wideout in the nation.

Auburn’s WR room is certainly losing some pieces in this spring window.
