Waunakee (Wis.) three-star tight end Rob Booker received an offer from Michigan State on Wednesday night. He announced the news over social media.

Booker is the No. 554 overall prospect and No. 25 tight end in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 7 player in Wisconsin.

On3 rates Booker higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Even though he is not ranked in the 2024 On300, Booker is ranked as the No. 23 tight end in the 2024 cycle.

The 6-foot-6, 210-pound prospect has received six offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, it is a very close race for his commitment. Four teams have an 18.6% chance or better to land his pledge, including Wisconsin at 29.7%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Booker is the second tight end offered by Michigan State tonight. The Spartans extended one to Raymore (Mo.) Raymore-Peculiar four-star Jaden Reddell, the No. 34 overall prospect in the On300, a few hours earlier.

Michigan State currently has two commitments in its 2024 recruiting class. They are River Rouge (Mich.) four-star wide receiver Nick Marsh and Hialeah (Fla.) Westland Hialeah four-star cornerback Jamari Howard

Booker has an On3 NIL Valuation of $5.8K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
