Texas A&M Basketball: Bryce Lindsay commits to Aggies, Buzz Williams
On3 Consensus three-star Bryce Lindsay has committed to Texas A&M.
The 6-foot-3 class of 2023 shooting guard out of Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy chose the Aggies over West Virginia and Mississippi State.
Lindsay, originally apart of the class of 2022, was previously committed to South Carolina, before the Gamecocks fired their head coach, Frank Martin. Lindsay, a Baltimore native, then reopened his recruitment, and transferred from St. Frances Academy (Md.) down to IMG Academy, making the move to 2023 while doing so.
He ranks as the No. 168 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies.
Lindsay on his commitment to Texas A&M
“I chose Texas A&M because of Coach Buzz (Williams) and the staff that he has built around him,” Lindsay said to On3. “They believe in me and they have a plan for me coming in as a freshman next year. Me and Coach Buzz have built a strong enough relationship where I trust him with being my coach for the next one to four years. Just feels like family!”
What does Bryce Lindsay bring to Texas A&M, in his own words?
“Texas A&M will be getting a high IQ PG who can lead their team and is willing to do anything to win,” he says. “They will be getting someone who has elite shot-making skills that can shoot from anywhere in the gym, whether off the dribble or catch.”
Lindsay has a message for A&M fans.

Scouting Summary
Bryce Lindsay is a dead-eye shooter. He has deep range with a confident stroke. His form does not change, no matter the range. He shoots with great balance and a consistent release, no matter where he is on the floor. The hope is that he becomes a combo guard or more of a scoring lead guard. He will need to become more dynamic off the bounce and tighten the handle some. He has long arms and is an average athlete. While he gives good effort as a team defender, there are some concerns on that end of the floor. Defenses will always have to account for Lindsay’s shooting, and the spacing he provides helps to open things up for an offense. – On3’s Jamie Shaw
