Savannah (Ga.) Calvary Day wide receiver Edward Coleman has around 20 offers. Schools have been recruiting the 5-foot-11, 180-pound playmaker in the 2025 class for the last year and a half and he is ready to name his top six schools.

Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Ohio State, South Carolina and Tennessee made the cut. He has visited each program outside of Tennessee at least once. The school he has visited the most is South Carolina. Coleman has tripped to Columbia on five separate occasions.

He now has visits back to Tuscaloosa (Jan. 20) and Tallahassee (Jan. 27) approaching as he progresses through the recruiting process.

“I am looking to commit early in the spring or definitely by the summer,” Coleman told On3. “I have relationships with coaches from all six of these schools. They recruit me hard. Some schools on this list reach out every day, then the others talk to me at least three times a week.

“Outside of the relationships, the main thing that made these schools stand out was that I can see myself there. I can see myself being comfortable and I could see these schools making me feel like I am home away from home.”

Coleman is looking for the best fit. It is not only about the fit on the field, but off the field as well.

“The education, the opportunities to be successful in life and the feeling of family with the people on campus will be important when I make my decision.”

Coleman breaks down his favorites

ALABAMA: “I like Alabama’s system. It is simple, but is about hard work, the players are driven and it is a championship program. I want to be around people that want to win like they do at Alabama.”

FLORIDA STATE: “Florida State is about the staff. That separates them. Coach Ron Dugans checks on me daily. He checks on me mentally, physically and they make me feel like family.”

GEORGIA: “Georgia is the home-state school and most of my family are Georgia fans. It is close to home, they win championships and I have a good relationship with Coach B-Mac (Bryan McClendon).”

OHIO STATE: “What I like about Ohio State the most is that I see them as WRU. Coach Brian Hartline will help me expand my game, he will help me develop and that always had my attention about Ohio State.”

SOUTH CAROLINA: “South Carolina is a staff that has built a strong relationship with me since my freshman year. I have been there a lot, their staff knows me and they have recruited me as long as any of these schools. There were recruiting me hard before they even offered me.”

TENNESSEE: “I don’t know as much about Tennessee because I haven’t been there yet, but I really like Coach Kelsey Pope and the offense they run.”
