Texas A&M forward Julius Marble has entered his name into the transfer portal.

Marble spent the past two seasons in College Station after starting his career with three years at Michigan State. However, he did not appear this past season due to a “university process”.

Marble also finds himself in the midst of a reported matter with the law. Per several reports, Marble was arrested earlier this month for a charge of sexual assault. Police arrested him right around two weeks ago on April 18th. He was booked him into the Brazos County Jail on a $50,000 bond. At the time, a spokesperson for Texas A&M said they were “aware of the situation” and that Marble’s standing with the school “has not changed”.

In total, Marble has played in 125 games for the Aggies and Spartans, including 35 games with 30 starts in the one year he did play for Texas A&M. During those collegiate appearances, he has averaged 5.6 points and 2.9 rebounds while shooting 56% from the field.

In his one year playing for the Aggies, Marble had a career year with 9.1 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.

Marble played high school basketball at Jesuit as a native of Dallas. He was a three-star prospect as the No. 230 overall recruit in the 2019 cycle. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranked as a Top-50 PF in the class and a Top-20 player out of Texas.

Marble committed to Tom Izzo as part of the Spartans’ No. 22 class in On3’s 2019 Industry Basketball Team Recruiting Rankings. He came in alongside two four-stars in PG Rocket Watts and F Malik Hall.

Marble then committed to Buzz Williams as one of four transfers to join Texas A&M in 2022.

Now, two years later, Marble is one of five players that are transferring from the Aggies this offseason. Bryce Lindsay, Brandon White, Andre Gordon, and Tyler Ringgold had all already entered the portal. None of the four have committed elsewhere to this point though.

As for additions, Texas A&M has added a pair of players out of the Big Ten in CJ Wilcher (Nebraska) and Pharrel Payne (Minnesota). Wilcher averaged 7.7 points while shooting 45.1% from the field and 39.4% from three for the ‘Huskers last year while Payne put up 10 points, 6.1 rebounds, and a team-high of 1.4 blocks on 60.2% shooting for the Golden Gophers this past season.
