Jayden Daniels, Malik Nabers make $10,000 bet against each other over NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year
Jayden Daniels and Malik Nabers were two of the all-time greats to ever suit up in Baton Rouge for the LSU Tigers. The tandem made music together on the football field, forming one of the more prolific quarterback-wide receiver duos in school history. Both players were selected in the top 10 of the 2024 NFL Draft, and they’ll be chasing their dreams on separate rosters.
Recently on the All Facts No Brakes podcast, Nabers and Daniels revealed that they have a $10,000 bet against each other on who will win Offensive Rookie of the Year.

One thing’s for certain, it’ll be fascinating to see how both of their careers play out in the National Football League.
It’s a pretty good bet that either player could win the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award. There are high expectations for both prospects. Daniels was one of the most electrifying quarterbacks in college football history but had a tendency to run into jarring hits. Nabers had exceptional final season with the Tigers, establishing himself as one of the nation’s best wideouts.
The LSU quarterback put up prolific numbers
During his last season at LSU, Daniels logged for career-best numbers across the board as he completed 72.2% of his throws for 3,812 yards, 40 touchdowns, and only four interceptions with his arm. On the ground, he tallied 1,134 additional yards along with 10 more scores, all leading to a slew of awards and, to cap it all off, a Heisman Trophy.
On his career, he amassed 12,749 passing yards, 89 touchdowns and 20 interceptions. He’s also a 3,000-yard career rusher across five seasons of college football. At the time his career ended, Daniels stands as the only FBS player in college football history to amass 12,000 passing and 3,000 rushing yards a piece.
Jayden Daniels had one of the nation’s best WRs at his disposal
Nabers is a rare talent. He caught a combined 189 passes over three seasons at LSU, totaling 3,000 yards and 21 touchdowns. His 3,003 career receiving yards are the most in LSU history; a prestigious honor for such a storied program.
Nabers produced the bulk of his jaw-dropping numbers this past season when he notched career-bests of 89 receptions for 1,569 yards and 14 TDs. Furthermore, the former four-star prospect boasted 17.6 yards per catch.
