NFLPA invites 40 NFL newcomers for annual Rookie Premiere event
The NFLPA has revealed its invite list of 40 league newcomers for its annual Rookie Premiere event, which connects some of the world’s top brands to the young stars. Some of the event’s biggest sponsors are Fanatics, EA Sports, Sleep Number, Bud Light, Gatorade, and FedEx.
“NFLPA Rookie Premiere offers partners unparalleled access to more than 40 of the NFL’s newest stars at their first major business and marketing event following the NFL Draft,” the NFLPA’s release reads. “The Premiere is one of the most valuable opportunities available to NFLPA partners as it’s the first point of contact to connect directly with professional football’s most promising and marketable young players – at a single unique event – to build content and relationships for the season and beyond.”
Perhaps because they’re more marketable, rookies on the offensive side of the ball dominate this year’s invite list. In fact, only two defenders received invites – linebacker Dallas Turner and defensive end Laiatu Latu. No offensive linemen, defensive tackles, defensive backs or special teamers made the cut.
