Michigan women’s basketball’s 2024 recruiting class now ranks No. 8 on ESPN/HoppGurlz’s rankings.

“A class like this does not happen without all of the players who have come before and laid this foundation,” head coach Kim Barnes Arico said when signing the class last November. “They had an incredible belief to build something that wasn’t here, and they built it. They believed in what Michigan women’s basketball could be and where we could go as a program. It’s because of what they accomplished, what we have built and the banners we have hung that we could sign a class who believes they can win a national championship.”

FOX analyst Joel Klatt ranks Michigan Stadium the fourth best atmosphere in the Big Ten.

2024 Grand Rapids (Mich.) Catholic Central Michigan guard signee Durral Brooks is on the cover of The Wolverine’s basketball recruiting issue. Copies can be ordered here.

Former Michigan State quarterback and current Atlanta Falcon Kirk Cousins revealed on the ‘Bussin’ With The Boys’ podcast that he wanted to play at U-M while he was a recruit out of Holland, Mich., but he was never offered by the Wolverines.

Former Michigan quarterback and recent staff member Denard Robinson, who was the program’s assistant director of player personnel, is no longer with U-M. He was arrested April 15 for an OWI following a single-vehicle crash in Ann Arbor.

Quote Of The Day

“What’s interesting to me is the amount of draft picks they had, and even though they were very efficient running the ball, they still had receivers get drafted.”
