Soon there will be another South Carolina football player in the Garnet and Black with “Sellers” across his back.

Florence (S.C.) South Florence class of 2025 three-star wide receiver Jayden Sellers committed to the Gamecocks Thursday, he announced on Twitter.

Sellers had a seat at the table, figuratively and literally, as his older brother LaNorris Sellers went through the recruiting process and then ultimately committed and signed with the Gamecocks last December.

The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder Sellers, who was recruited to Columbia by receivers coach Justin Stepp, chose South Carolina over offers from Cincinnati, Syracuse, East Carolina, and Virginia Tech.

The younger Sellers, who is South Carolina’s first 2025 commit, spoke to GamecockCentral in person the day his brother, now a true freshman, announced for the Gamecocks.

“The fan base and the facilities,” he said of what stood out. “They’ve really got nice facilities and nice fans. It’s loud, very loud and hostile.”

He also has liked getting to know the coaching staff.

“I like the wide receivers coach, Justin Stepp,” Sellers said. “His personality (stands out). He’s a funny guy and I feel like I can play with him. He says to get my weight up and I’ll be ready to play for them.”

Sellers, who has been on campus multiple times including for games and camps, is ranked a high-three-star prospect by On3.

Sellers is considered the No. 50 wide receiver in his class and the No. 4 overall prospect in South Carolina for 2025.

South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer Tweeted out his patented #WelcomeHome announcement, indicating a commitment, at 2:44 p.m. on Wednesday. The Gamecocks also revealed that their 2025 class hashtag is officially #2nd5torm.
