Presumably, he will be encouraged to generate more offense than at his last stop!
Where’s Carroll projected? 197 or HWT? He redshirted this season, right?interesting thought about the Okie State incoming portal guys (plus Plott) possibly all redshirting in 2024-25. Would allow Keck (UNI) to clear out at 184, opening a better paths for Platt. Probably makes less sense to redshirt Hendrickson, as it means Merrill would likely go as a true frosh.

Hendrickson can't shirt. Already had to get waiver to delay military commitment.interesting thought about the Okie State incoming portal guys (plus Plott) possibly all redshirting in 2024-25. That’s what I thought. So, apparently he’s willing to sit a year behind Hendrickson.285, I believe.
He wrestled at 285 his junior and senior years in HS. He wrestled 285 while redshirting in college this past season

That would make more sense with Hendrickson on the roster.@LB99, I need to update my response. All the info I supplied about where Carroll wrestled in HS and as a redshirt this past season is accurate. However, Carroll is registered at Jr. World Team Trials at 92 Kg, which is 202.8253 lbs. As such, 197 lbs. may be more within reach for him than I thought was the case.
I’m pretty sure Carroll wrestled 97 kg (213 lbs) at Olympic trials. It is possible that he is at 92 kg now which bodes well for 197 depending on how hard the cut is. Wrestling a college season at a tough cut weight is much more difficult than making an occasional cut for the freestyle circuit@LB99, I need to update my response. if so, Christian Pyles would be wrong (see post #204). Which would be shocking.Hendrickson can't shirt. Already had to get waiver to delay military commitment.
With Merrill coming in the 2024 recruiting class, the only thing that makes sense for for Okie State is for Carroll to get to 197. Carroll is Class of 2023 and redshirted for the 2023-24 season. How effective he can be at 197 for an entire college season (or a 3 day tournament like NCAAs) remains to be seen.I’m pretty sure Carroll wrestled 97 kg (213 lbs) at Olympic trials. According to West Point, a cadet can only redshirt if an injury forces them to miss significant class time so they can't graduate in 4 years. I am not sure of Hendrickson's case. The military for the most part want there people and really don't care about athletic careers. It is already extremely rare he was granted this exemption.if so, Christian Pyles would be wrong (see post #204). Which would be shocking.
