2024 TE Martavious Collins commits to Auburn

Three-star tight end Martavious Collins of Rome (GA) High announced his commitment to Auburn Friday afternoon.

The 6-foot-4, 245 pounder chose the Tigers over Miami, Florida State, and Cincinnati. He was previously committed to Alabama.

Collins on why he chose Auburn

“What stood out the most to me was they are very family oriented and it makes me feel like I’m at home and can see myself there.. Coach Freeze told me from day one “ Come help Build this program with me where you can be remembered forever. And have other kids when waiting to follow in your footsteps!”

Relationship with coaching staff + their plan for Collins

“We are super close and they plan to put me everywhere on the field to get me the ball.”

The Peach State tight end joins coach Freeze and the Tigers’ Top 15 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by Walker White, J’Marion Burnette, and others. 

Collins ranks as the No. 514 player according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 28 tight end and the No. 63 player in the state of Georgia.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $29K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
