Kentucky baseball won’t be on the diamond on Tuesday night at the Men’s College World Series in Omaha, as incoming weather has delayed an elimination game between the Wildcats and Florida. But that isn’t stopping the Kentucky team from finding a way to make the most of the evening.

In lieu of a game on Tuesday night, the Bat Cats will be welcoming fans to a meet and greet with the team. Fans can stop by the Hilton Omaha from 5-5:30 p.m. CST and meet the players who have guided Kentucky to the program’s first ever trip to the MCWS.

“Mother Nature not cooperating tonight but we want to make it up to you! Come to the Hilton Omaha on Cass St. from 5-5:30 p.m. CT for a MEET AND GREET with the Cats on the 2nd floor. See you there!” the Kentucky baseball account posted.

Kentucky’s elimination game against conference rival Florida is now set for an 11 a.m. EST first pitch on Wednesday, June 19.

More on the postponement, schedule changes

The postponement minimally affects the other two games slated for Wednesday. Game 11 will now take place at 3 p.m. ET, an hour later than initially scheduled. Game 12 will still kick off at 7 p.m. ET as planned.

The gates to Charles Schwab Field Omaha will open approximately one hour after the end of both Game 10 and Game 11 to allow fans to get seated before the action begins.

From 5 p.m. ET until 6 a.m. on Wednesday, there is over a 50% chance of rain in Omaha, Nebraska. Moreover, thunderstorms are expected to sweep through the area. There is still a chance of rain Wednesday morning but the skies are expected to clear by early afternoon, if not earlier.

This weather delay is the first of the CWS thus far. Fans have received no shortage of action. The first three games of the CWS each ended in walk-off action and the fun times have only continued since. On Wednesday, teams will look to keep the momentum rolling in an action-packed day.
