Royersford (Pa.) Spring-Ford four-star quarterback Matt Zollers made a huge splash in early April when he committed to Eli Drinkwitz and the Missouri Tigers. He chose Mizzou over Georgia, Penn State and Pittsburgh.

On Sunday, Zollers earned an invitation to the Elite 11 Finals this summer in Los Angeles. That comes following a standout performance at the Elite 11 regional competition in State College, Pennsylvania.

FULL ELITE 11 FINALS ROSTER

There are few higher honors for high school quarterbacks than being invited to the Elite 11 Finals. The event, which will celebrate its 25th year in 2024, brings together the country’s elite signal-callers for three days of competition and training in Los Angeles.

Elite 11 alumni include Carson PalmerAndrew LuckMatthew StaffordTim Tebow, and more recently Trevor LawrenceC.J. StroudBryce Young and more. Last year’s Elite 11 Finals featured more than a dozen of the top 20 quarterbacks in the final On3 Industry Rankings, including each of the top five players at the position.

He becomes the 10th invitee to this year’s event, joining USC commit Julian Lewis, Ohio State pledge Tavien St. Clair, Notre Dame commit Deuce Knight, Texas A&M commit Husan Longstreet, Texas commit K.J. Lacey, SMU commit Keelon Russell, Oklahoma commit Kevin Sperry, Florida State pledge Tramell Jones and North Carolina commit Bryce Baker.

Matt Zollers Recruit Profile

Zollers is the nation’s No. 42 overall prospect, No. 5 quarterback and top recruit from Pennsylvania in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

On3 rates him higher than the other major recruiting services. Zollers is the nation’s No. 13 recruit and No. 2 QB in the 2025 On300.

Scout’s Take: “Matt Zollers is one of the biggest movers at the position in this rankings update. The 6-foot-3.5, 200-pounder has a live arm, plus athleticism and perhaps the best individual playmaking skills we saw on junior film at the position. No 2025 quarterback put more high-level reactive playmaking on film last fall. He plays fast and shows the ability to make a number of high-level throws on film. Zollers passed for 2,917 yards and 37 touchdowns against two interceptions and added 420 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground. On3 was the first to tab Zollers as a blue-chip prospect when he held just one Power Five offer last fall.” — Charles Power, February
