Trent Perry is staying in Los Angeles and has committed to Mick Cronin and UCLA. The 6-foot-4 point guard out of Harvard-Westlake was previously signed with USC but reopened his recruitment after Andy Enfield made the jump to SMU.

The four-star senior is ranked as the No. 34 overall player in the 2024 On3 Industry Rankings and is a McDonald’s All-American.

Perry discussed his commitment to UCLA with On3.

“I chose UCLA because of the opportunity to play at the highest level in my home town,” he said. “Coach Cronin has a great vision for me and the team and I can’t wait to work with the guys we have.”

Perry Scouting Report

“Trent Perry has a smooth feel for the game. He plays with a mental toughness, with good positional size, and a well-rounded skill set. He is a smooth shooter with range off the bounce and off the catch. He has a repeatable load with a consistent release at each level. He is also a capable ball handler. He can get a team into sets and handle the pressure of point of attack defense. He is an average athlete that lacks top end burst, which could pose some questions. High IQ player, he understands footwork and angles on both ends of the floor. A very steady performer, no matter the situation.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw
