Orlando Bishop Moore Catholic three-star quarterback Bjorn Jurgensen has committed to Virginia, he announced on Thursday.

He chose the Cavaliers over the likes of Florida Atlantic, East Carolina, Appalachian State and Liberty.

Jurgensen is the No. 976 overall prospect and No. 63 QB in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 119 player in Florida.

“I want to thank God, my mom and dad, my family, teammates and coaches for believing in me and my goal to compete at the highest level. Without their love, time and effort I would not be in the position I am currently in. Thank you to all of the college coaches who have been in contact with me and to those taking a chance to offer me.

…After visiting numerous schools and discussions with my family, I would like to announce my commitment to compete academically and athletically at the University of Virginia,” Jurgensen wrote in his announcement on X.

Jurgensen is commitment No. 12 this cycle for Tony Elliot and the Cavaliers. He’s also the second signal-caller to join the class, following Deerfield (Ma.) Academy three-star Cole Geer, who pledged back in December.

Virginia bolstering 2025 recruiting class

With the addition of Jurgensen, eight of UVA’s 12 pledges are on the offensive side of the ball. Richmond (Va.) Trinity Episcopal three-star wide receiver Isaiah Robinson is a top-20 in-state commit, while Nashville Lipscomb three-star interior offensive lineman Jon Adair and Washington (D.C.) Maret three-star IOL Grayson Reid provide some beef in the trenches.

On the defensive side, Lanham (Md.) Mt. Zion three-star cornerback Chris Spence is the top-ranked commit in the class, checking in at No. 484 overall and No. 46 at his position in the On3 Industry Ranking. He’s flanked by a trio of linebackers in Gilford (N.H.) Phillips Exeter three-star Isaiah Reese, Asheville (N.C.) three-star Justin Rowe and Northbrook (Ill.) Loyola Academy three-star Donovan Robinson.

Virginia’s class now ranks No. 46 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. That’s good for No. 12 in the ACC, ahead of the likes of NC State, Louisville and Boston College.
