Virginia Tech bullpen attempts to distract pitcher Brett Renfrow by stacking hats during interview

The Virginia Tech Hokies are hosting Miami in an ACC battle on the diamond. While business is being taken care of on the field, some of the Hokies players seized an opportunity to have a little fun during a mid-game interview with freshman pitcher Brett Renfrow.
At the bottom of the fifth, the ACC network team covering Saturdayโs matchup interviewed the Virginia Tech freshman right-handed pitcher. And while they were picking the brains of the Hokies pitcher, his teammates decided to have a little fun at his expense.
During the interview, the rest of the Virginia Tech bullpen could be seen poking at Renfrow during his interview in a number of ways, including splashing him with water and, at one point stacking their hats on top of his head. You can check out the Hokiesโ bullpen antics during the conversation in the video below.
Virginia Tech started out the game strong, holding a 4-2 lead at the time of the interview. But since then, the momentum has swung in favor of the Hurricanes. Miami leads 7-4 heading into the bottom of the 6th inning after putting five runs on the board at the top of the sixth.

There is still a lot of baseball to be played. And given Virginia Techโs play in the first few innings, they have more than enough offense to rally a comeback in front of their hometown fans and Blacksburg, VA.
Saturdayโs Virginia Tech baseball showdown with the Miami Hurricanes was delayed by weather, pushing the start time back more than an hour.
Unfortunately, Virginia Tech could not muster up enough offense to mount a successful comeback. They were able to prevent Miami from scoring the rest of the contest. But at the same time, they were only able to tack on one additional run. This weekendโs series between the Hokies and Hurricanes is now tied at 1-1. With the ACC championship tournament right around the corner, both teams will be swinging for the fences in the final game of this series on Sunday in order to help keep their conference tournament championship dreams alive and also a potential birth in the NCAA championship tournament.
