Top basketball recruit Caleb Holt transferring to Prolific Prep for senior season

Caleb Holt, one of the top high school basketball players in the country, is on the move for his senior season.
On Monday, ESPN’s Paul Biancardi reported that Holt will transfer from Grayson (Ga.) to Prolific Prep (Fla.) for his last year of prep basketball. Previously based in Napa, California, Prolific is moving its operation to Fort Lauderdale, Florida beginning with the 2025-26 academic year.
The program has featured some of the nation’s top talents in high school basketball, including 2025 Five-Star Plus+ guard and Kansas signee Darryn Peterson. Holt, who hails from Huntsville (Ala.), is one of the top players in the 2026 class, checking in at No. 5 nationally in the On3 Industry Ranking.
He is coming off a dominant high school season at Grayson, as well as an MVP performance at the adidas Eurocamp in Italy earlier this month.
Playing in front of NBA scouts from all 30 franchises, Holt went for 19 points, six rebounds, three assists, and three steals in Monday’s championship victory. Across three games in Italy, he averaged 17 points, eight rebounds, 3.3 steals, and 2.7 assists in 26 minutes per outing while shooting 51.2 percent from the field and a combined 5-13 from deep.
The 6-foot-5 swingman holds offers from Kentucky, Auburn, Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Kansas, North Carolina and more than a dozen other programs.

Holt is joining one of the nation’s most prestigious prep squads
He’ll team up with Prolific Prep program that made it to the championship game at Chipotle Nationals this spring behind Petersen, and is expected to feature one of the most talented rosters across the country.
In addition to Petersen and a few other top 2025 prospects, the Crew’s roster last season also included 2027 top-five prospect Obinna Ekezie Jr. and top-20 sophomore Gabe Nesmith.
Open since 2014, Prolific Prep has established itself as a national powerhouse, producing nine NBA players, 14 McDonald’s All-Americans, and 15 Nike Hoop Summit selections. As part of its move to south Florida, the program announced the construction of a brand-new, state-of-the-art training facility in the heart of Fort Lauderdale.
Designed to rival top-tier athletic centers nationwide, the new complex will feature a professional-grade practice court, elite-level strength staff and weight room, modern team rooms, and advanced recovery suites.
