Earlier in April, five-star prospect Immanuel Iheanacho turned heads after successfully performing a 530-pound squat. What better way to maintain his top-ranked status by completing a heavier rep. The Georgetown Prep offensive lineman shared on X/Twitter his successful attempt of a 600-pound squat.

While he needed assistance in bringing back the weights, Iheanacho completed the squat by himself. It’s that brute force that made him the second-best prospect among the Class of 2026 based on the On3 Industry Rankings. His 98.65 mark slightly trails fellow offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell.

On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power wrote about Immanuel Iheanacho:

“Mountain of an offensive tackle prospect with light-footed movement skills. Has truly rare dimensions for a young offensive tackle. Shows good flexibility and functional movement skills at his immense size. Owns one of the more powerful punches we’ve seen among offensive tackle prospects in the past few cycles. Absolutely stones defensive linemen at the point of attack. Length, hand strength, and girth create a nearly unmovable anchor.”

Meanwhile, his personal bio states that he was the only underclassman to win Maryland First-Team League honors in 2023. In addition to football, he’s also a talented basketball player and a student who maintains high grades. Likewise, On3 experts compare Iheanacho to 2024 first-round draft pick Amarius Mims.

While Immanuel Iheanacho remains uncommitted for college football, he will have five official visits scheduled in May and June. Ihenacho and his contingent will make a trip to Georgia before visiting Maryland, Alabama, Penn State, and Oregon.

On3 predicts that the Terrapins (35.3%) are the frontrunners in the Iheanacho recruitment race. Oregon (22.1%) and Penn State (11.5) complete the top three, while Alabama and Georgia were below ten percent.

Immanuel Iheanacho also received offers from Auburn, Florida, LSU, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, USC, Miami, and Tennessee. Likewise, Texas, Florida State, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Michigan, North Carolina, Syracuse, UCLA, and Indiana are other schools that expressed interest.
