The Indianapolis Colts extended support to their local community by awarding grants to some Florida high school football teams and leagues. As published on the team’s official website, 13 schools and leagues will receive football grants from the National Football League franchise.

The grants amount to $35,000, and each entity will receive $2,500, which can then be used for projects related to the Colts Football Development Program. These initiatives fall under four pillars: education and development, health and safety, participation and inclusion, and outreach.

The chosen Indiana high school football teams, leagues, or groups can also use the grants for “USA Football coaching certifications, purchase or recondition equipment, implement flag football programming, update or repair facilities, provide stipends for on-site athletic trainers, reduce participation fees, and more.”

The Colts’ 2025 recipients, which also include youth football teams and leagues, are as follows:

Anderson High School – Anderson, Indiana
Corydon Central Youth Football – Corydon, Indiana
Culver Cavalier Youth League – Culver, Indiana
Eminence High School – Eminence, Indiana
Fremont High School – Fremont, Indiana
Fort Wayne Community Schools – Fort Wayne, Indiana
Huntington PAL – Huntington, Indiana

The Anderson Indians finished the 2024-25 Indiana high school football season without a victory in ten games. That unfortunate streak includes five games scoring eight games or less and a 63-8 loss to Plainfield in the Class 5A sectional semifinals.

Meanwhile, the Fremont Eagles finished with a 3-8 record last season. They started their campaign at 2-3 and lost five of their last six games. Fremont’s season ended with a 35-7 loss to North Miami in the Indiana high school football Class 1A sectional semifinals.

Finally, Jimtown completed their campaign with a 7-4 record via win streaks of four and three games. The Jimmies’ season ended with a 34-26 loss to Mishawaka Marian in the Class 3A sectional semifinals.
