Shedeur Sanders Graces Ohio High School Football Training Session

While it’s shocking that former Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders fell in the 2025 NFL Draft, he’s already connecting with the Cleveland community. That said, last year’s Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year visited the Berea-Midpark High School Titans training session.
In an Instagram video shared by the Titans, the players were lifting weights and performing some drills when Sanders arrived. Likewise, the 2024 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award winner posed for photos with the high school football players.
Having a moment with Shedeur Sanders could inspire this Ohio high school football team, which barely reached .500 in three of the last four seasons. The Titans are coming off a 4-8 season, which follows 7-5 and 6-6 campaigns under Jon Hunek. Berea-Midpark’s best record over the last two decades came in the 2014-15 season when Ray Hradek led the Titans to an 8-3 mark.
Meanwhile, Sanders attended Trinity Christian High School when his father, Deion Sanders, was the offensive coordinator. The younger Sanders finished his final year at Trinity Christian with 251 completions for 3,702 yards and 43 touchdowns.

After playing for Jackson State, Shedeur Sanders helped transform the University of Colorado football program. Before he arrived at Boulder, the Buffaloes were a one-win team. In his final year at Colorado, Sanders led the Buffaloes to nine victories and a bowl game.
Despite his accolades, Sanders fell to the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round of the 2025 draft. He was the sixth quarterback selected after Cam Ward, Jaxson Dart, Tyler Shough, Jalen Milroe, and Dillon Gabriel. While Shedeur Sanders remains unsigned, it’s still uncertain if he will see some snaps during the 2025 NFL season. Though last year’s starting quarterback, Deshaun Watson, might miss the season due to injury, the Browns still have Gabriel, Joe Flacco, and Kenny Pickett in the depth chart.
