Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas three-star wide receiver Camden Brown has decommitted from Pittsburgh.

He announced the news Wednesday on Twitter.

“First and foremost I would love to thank coach Partridge and Coach Marion for recruiting me and building such an amazing bind with me and after a long conversation I decided to decommit from Pittsburgh,” Brown tweeted.

Brown is the No. 601 overall player and No. 93 wide receiver in the country, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

The Panthers now have only 10 commits in the 2022 class with just one wideout in Buffalo (N.Y.) Western New York Maritime Charter School three-star wide receiver Addison Copeland.

Brown received an in-home visit Tuesday from South Carolina wide receivers coach Justin Stepp and will be visited Thursday by Florida State.

Auburn is also interested in the three-star wideout, according to Auburn Live.

“Auburn has made a recent push for St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.) wide receiver Camden Brown, but it could be too little too late,” Jeffrey Lee wrote on about two weeks ago. “Brown visited Auburn in the summer, camped and earned wide receiver MVP honors. He loved the visit, earned an offer and was ready to commit. Auburn, however, wasn’t ready to take him. Skip ahead a few months and Brown has been communicating regularly with wide receivers coach Eric Kiesau, area recruiter Derek Mason and even Bryan Harsin.”

The Gamecocks have two wide receiver commits: Southlake (Texas) Carroll three-star Landon Samson and Summerton (S.C.) Clarendon Hall three-star Kylic Horton.

Both Florida State and Auburn have commits from only one pure wide receiver.

The Seminoles have a verbal from Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Dillard four-star wideout Devaughn Mortimer and the Tigers have a commitment from Rockwall (Texas) Rockwall-Heath three-star wideout Jay Fair
