Efeosa Oliogu is the No. 5 shooting guard in the 2025 On3 150. The 6-foot-5 wing averaged 16.8 points while shooting 52.6 percent from the field this summer, playing up with the Canada Elite program on the Under Armour Next 16U Circuit. Oliogu announced he would be transferring for his junior year to Daytona Beach (FL) DME Academy.

“I’m playing at a good pace now; that is somewhere I’ve improved over the last few months,” Oliogu told On3. “I’m more comfortable shooting off the move now and can create for my teammates. I watch a lot of Jaylen Brown, I think we match, I can compare myself to him. I like how he always crashes the boards, he is knocking down his shots now, and he is so athletic.”

On3 caught up with four-star Efeosa Oliogu at the recent Under Armour Elite 24 Camp to talk recruitment.

Oliogu sets official visits

On3 reported this weekend that Efeosa Oliogu has set three official visits, Auburn, Maryland, and Missouri.

Auburn: “I’m an Under Armour type of guy, so Auburn is my type of school, I guess. They’ve shown me a lot of love for a long time. They continue to reach out to me, and I feel that their community is very strong. They like how explosive I am and how I always play my hardest. They’ll also tell me they like how I rebound.”

Missouri: “Coach (Dennis) Gates is very straightforward. He tells you how it is and doesn’t sugarcoat anything. I like that. They like to run up and down the floor, and that is how I can get a lot of my points is getting out and running, playing in transition.”

Maryland: “I’ve already taken an unofficial there, so I’ve already, kind of, seen a majority of what I need to see there. When I went on my visit, I saw the culture they have there, the community. The coaches are friendly, they’re always checking up on me, seeing how I’m doing. They’re an explosive team. They are tough and like to rebound and play defense.”

Oliogu talks Providence

Providence is another school I might go visit; we haven’t set anything yet,” Oliogu said. “They keep in touch with me and remain in contact. I couple of my coaches really like that school and program too.”

… at the end of the day

“I like wearing Under Armour, but it’s not going to be my entire decision,” Oliogu said. “Like, it’ll play a little role because I’m an Under Armour guy, but ultimately I’m going to go where is the best situation for me.

“I’m going to be looking to be able to do what I do. I don’t want to play in a system that will put me out of my comfort zone and fit into the program. The relationship I have with the coach will play a role; building a good relationship with the coach will be big.”
