Florida A&M defensive lineman Cherif Seye has committed to UCLA out of the NCAA transfer portal, according to a report from On3’s Pete Nakos.

The talented defensive lineman also announced the news himself on Twitter.

Seye spent just one season with the Rattlers, where he had the kind of breakout campaign that could earn him looks from Power Five programs. UCLA bit on the potential difference-maker in the trenches.

In one year at FAMU, Seye logged 22 tackles, 9.5 tackles for a loss, 4.5 sacks and a forced fumble.

Seye had previously spent time at Southeastern Louisiana, where he played in 16 games from 2020-21, finishing with 222 total tackles. He arrived at SELU by way of ASA College.

Prior to enrolling at Southeastern Louisiana, Cherif Seye did not have an On3 Industry Ranking, as he was not rated by enough services to earn a ranking. However, he did earn a three-star status and an 86 grade from On3.

UCLA offensive lineman enters transfer portal

UCLA offensive lineman Bruno Fina has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, per On3’s Pete Nakos. Fina spent four seasons with the Bruins.

In the 2023 campaign, Fina made 13 appearances as the starting left tackle for the team. Fina was pivotal in guiding UCLA’s offense to lead the Pac-12 in rushing yards per game. The 6-foot-5 redshirt junior was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) 2023-24 Academic All-District Football Team.

In the prior three seasons, Fina’s time on the field was limited, making six total appearances. He did not see any game action during his true freshman season. He was also named to the Pac-12 2021-22 Fall Academic Honor Roll when he was a redshirt freshman.

Bruno Fina played high school football at Salpointe Catholic (AZ), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 891 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Fina is the 18th UCLA player to enter the transfer portal during or since the 2023 campaign. The team has also added 11 players via the portal, earning the No. 61 spot in On3’s Transfer Portal Team Rankings.
