Former BYU defensive lineman Danny Saili has committed to Arkansas, he announced Monday afternoon on Twitter.

Saili signed with BYU ahead of this spring, before entering the transfer portal last week.

He played last season at Hutchinson Community College in Topeka, Kansas.

Danny Saili is now headed to Arkansas without ever playing a game for the Cougars.

Last season at Hutchinson CC he had 21 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and 4 sacks.

Saili was named to the 2023 Jayhawk Conference First Team. He also had an excellent season in 2022, finishing with 18 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and one sack.

He tagged Arkansas defensive line coach Deke Adams in his commitment announcement. Adams played a big role in recruiting Saili.

The Razorbacks are coming off of a 4-8 season under head coach Sam Pittman. Arkansas had finished 9-4 and 7-6 the previous two years, before taking a step back under Pittman in 2023. Now Danny Saili and a new-look roster will try to get Arkansas back on track in 2024.

Arkansas transfer Andrew Chamblee commits to SMU

While Arkansas added some beef to its defensive front on Monday, the Razorbacks also had a former offensive lineman head elsewhere.

Former Arkansas offensive lineman Andrew Chamblee has reportedly found his new home at SMU.

Chamblee has committed to the Mustangs, according to Pete Thamel. He was one of the top offensive linemen available in the transfer portal.

Andrew Chamblee appeared in 12 games for the Razorbacks last season, making eight starts. He was named to the 2023 SEC All-Freshman Team.

The Arkansas native was ranked as a four-star recruit and the No. 16 offensive tackle in the country in the class of 2022, per the On3 Industry rankings.

Chamblee played 405 snaps for the Razorbacks, the sixth most on the Arkansas offensive line. He was rated at a 40.9 pass-blocking grade and a 55.9 run-blocking grade, according to Pro Football Focus.

Last month, it was shared that Chamblee was no longer part of the Arkansas program. The original report suggested that he had “lost the love for the game” but would not be transferring as he planned to continue his life as a student in Fayetteville.

Now, a few weeks later, that is no longer the case for Chamblee as he will be continuing his college football career in Dallas.
