Marshall edge rusher Jason Harris has re-entered the NCAA transfer portal. He had not yet played a game with the Thundering Herd after transferring in from Arizona in January.

Harris has spent the past three seasons with the Wildcats but recorded only three tackles in that span. He originally began his college career at Colorado in 2020 before transferring to Arizona, where his father and brother also played football.

As a recruit, Harris was a four-star prospect coming out of Higley High School in Gilbert, Arizona. He ranked as the No. 290 overall player and No. 17 edge rusher in the 2020 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Harris’ father played seven season in the NFL and his brother, Jalen, is currently a defensive end for the Washington Commanders. It’s clear he comes from a talented family of athletes and his rankings in high school suggest he still has plenty to offer wherever he ends up next.

Colorado transfer CB Cormani McClain eyeing decision in next two weeks

Colorado transfer Cormani McClain is aiming to decide on his future in the next week or two.

A source told On3 on Wednesday the cornerback is communicating with nine schools across the Big TenBig 12 and SEC and has received significant interest since entering the portal more than 10 days ago. The current plan in McClain’s camp is to arrive at a commitment decision in the next 1-2 weeks.

UCF and USF were teams mentioned at the onset of McClain’s portal recruitment. USC is not expected to be in pursuit of the cornerback. Sources recently indicated to On3’s Steve Wiltfong that Utah could be an option but the understanding is the Utes do not have any scholarships available.

The former five-star recruit flipped his commitment from Miami to Colorado in January 2023. Just over a year later, the top-15 prospect in the 2023 class is looking for a new home. He’s currently ranked as the top overall player available in the portal.
