Spanaway (Wash.) Bethel three-star linebacker Ramzak Fruean has committed to UCLA.

He chose the Bruins over Arizona State, Washington, Washington State and others.

Fruean is the No. 691 overall prospect and No. 55 LB in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 6 player in Washington.

“I’m 1000-percent COMMITTED to the University of California, Los Angeles,” Fruean wrote on X announcing his decision. “Thank you, Jesus this blessing is all You! Thank you to my family for being with me every step of the way! Massive shoutout to the UCLA Football Program. FRUEAN IS A BRUIN.”

Head coach DeShaun Foster and the UCLA staff continue to pile up commitments and now have a class that ranks No. 23 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Fruean is the fourth commitment of the month for the Bruins.

As a junior for Bethel, Fruean tallied 45 solo tackles in nine games and also scored three touchdowns. He’s the first Washington native to join the UCLA class.

UCLA recruiting heating up this summer

Foster and his staff have picked up some serious momentum on the recruiting trail. Eight of the 12 commits in the class have joined since the beginning of May.

Fort Pierce (Fla.) Vero Beach four-star interior offensive lineman Micah Smith is the biggest win of the cycle for the Bruins following his pledge on June 7. The towering 300-pounder ranks as the No. 197 recruit and No. 13 IOL this cycle.

On Sunday, Los Angeles Rancho Cucamonga three-star cornerback Justin Lewis and Rancho Cucamonga Etiwada three-star safety Joshua Mensah both joined the class. Lewis flipped from North Carolina.

On Sept. 30, Provo (Utah) Timpview twin wide receivers Jaron and Kennan Pula each committed. Jaron is a four-star and the No. 56 wideout in the nation. The Pula brothers are two of four receivers in the class already. Stockton (Calif.) St. Mary’s three-star Kenneth Moore and Irvine (Calif.) Santa Margarita Catholic three-star Jonah Smith are also in the fold.

Irvine (Calif.) Crean Lutheran three-star defensive lineman Anthony Jones, Medina (Tenn.) South Gibson three-star DL Yahya Gaad and Littleton (Colo.) Heritage three-star tight end Camden Jensen are other new additions to the class following commitments last month. Jensen is the No. 19 TE in the cycle. Gaad, a former SMU pledge, is the No. 13 player in Tennessee.
