One of the most beloved sporting events on the sports calendar has officially arrived: the 2024 NFL Draft. Dreams will be made for stars across the country and fans across America will get to see the future for their franchises. Fashion is always important at the NFL Draft and this year is no different. LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers decided to honor the Tigers with the lining of his blazer on Thursday evening.

Nabers saved his best season for last in Baton Rouge, hauling in 89 catches for 1,569 yards, and 14 touchdowns. He was named a Unanimous All-American for his impressive season, also bringing home first team All-SEC honors. Nabers led the SEC in receiving yardage. He and Jayden Daniels formed one of the more unstoppable QB-WR tandems in college football the past two seasons.

Nabers hauled in at least one catch of 20-plus yards in all 12 regular season games in 2023. He also had a knack for making explosive plays, 78.3 percent of his catches in 2023 resulted in a first down or touchdown, according to Dane Brugler of The Athletic’s NFL Draft Guide. His 34 catches of 20-plus yards also led the country.

Against Mississippi State in 2023, he put on a performance for the ages, hauling in 13 catches for 239 yards and two touchdowns as the Tigers cruised to victory. He finished with nine games of over 100 receiving yards or more his junior campaign.

LSU has a very storied history at the wide receiver position and Nabers established himself as one of the greatest to ever come through Baton Rouge. He led the SEC in catches in each of the past two seasons and became just the second player in Tiger football history to record multiple 1,000-yard receiving seasons (joining the likes of Josh Reed).

Nabers shattered several school records during his time there including: all-time receiving yardage (3,003), all-time catches (189), firmly cementing his legacy as one of the greatest to ever come through the pipeline in Baton Rouge.

Coming out of Southside High School (Youngsville, La.), Nabers was rated as a four-star prospect and the No. 199 overall player in America, according to the On3 Industry Rankings for the 2021 cycle. In 2019, he hauled in 58 catches for 1,223 yards and 21 touchdowns.
