The Florida Gators have landed a commitment Thursday from On3 Industry 3-star defensive lineman Jeramiah McCloud of Gadsden County. It comes one day after two Florida coaches visited him at his school.

“Having the defensive coordinator (Austin Armstrong) and D-Line coach (Gerald Chatman) reach out to me means a lot,” McCloud told Gators Online. “It means I’m a top priority to them. Coach told me that several times so it means a lot.”

What pushed Florida to the front?

“The relationship I have with the coaches. … and then the way Coach (Billy) Napier is. It’s outside of football too,” McCloud said. “He talks to my mom. We all have a great relationship.”

Of his mother, McCloud noted, “She’s a Gator fan.”

McCloud, who recently de-committed from Mississippi State, is the No. 38 defensive line recruit in the country. He has visited the Gators multiple times this year and will return May 31 for an official.

Odell Haggins, the Seminole’s defensive tackles coach, also visited McCloud’s school Wednesday. The Seminoles offered him a scholarship during that visit.

McCloud is commitment No. 4 for Florida in the 2025 class.

The Gators have the No. 20 class in the country.
