Year after year Kirby Smart puts together one of the best rosters in the country at Georgia. His ninth team in Athen is no different and On3Sports believes that five Bulldogs are among the best 100 players in College Football.

It released it’s top 100 players on Thursday and it includes four Bulldogs in the top 50 and two in the top 10. Fifth-year quarterback Carson Beck leads the way, coming in at No. 4. He’s behind the Tennessee EDGE James Pearce, who ranks No. 1. Missouri wideout Luther Burden is No. 2 and Texas offensive tackle Kelvin Banks is No. 3.

Beck is entering his second season as a starter. He came up just short of 4,000 passing yards last season and would likely have gotten there had he played the second half of Georgia’s 63-3 thumping of Florida State in the Capital One Orange Bowl. Beck helped Georgia field No. 5 scoring offense at 40.1 points per game and the nation’s No. 1 third-down offense which converted 55.15 percent of its opportunities.

Junior safety Malaki Starks comes in at No. 9 on the list. The Jefferson High School product is entering his third season as a starter and was the team’s fourth-leading tackler in 2023. He also racked up three interceptions and broke up seven passes on the year.

The next Bulldog on the list is veteran right guard Tate Ratledge, who comes in at No. 32. Ratledge is entering his third season as a Georgia starter and has played nearly 1,500 snaps for the Bulldogs.

“The Bulldogs have produced some quality blockers over the last half-decade, and Tate Ratledge is ready to add to the tradition of excellence as one of the sturdiest interior o-linemen in the nation,” On3’s Clark Brooks writes. His career pass block win percentage is a mighty 99.3%, and his figure from 2023 is the top mark for all linemen regardless of where they line up.”

Another Georgia offensive lineman, left tackle Earnest Greene, comes in at No. 50. Greene was a first-year starter in 2023 and held down the left tackle spot for all 14 games. He had a slow start to the season after missing all of 2022 with a back injury, an ailment that prevented him from practicing or playing during his freshman year at Georgia. Greene got better as the year went along and is now being considered as a potential high draft pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The next Georgia player comes in at No. 97 and that is junior EDGE Mykel Williams. The Columbus, Ga. native has served as a starter in each of his first two seasons at Georgia but will be taking on a new role in 2024. He’s transitioning to more of a stand-up outside linebacker role after playing defensive end in an odd front the past two seasons. Williams has nine sacks and 13 tackle for loss over the past two years.
