The offensive line got on the board in Kentucky’s 2025 recruiting class earlier this week when Tucker Kattus pledged his allegiance to the Big Blue Nation. Can Kentucky build that momentum on the Big Blue Wall? Eric Wolford is swinging for the fences.

Mason Short is one of the most talented blockers in America. The 6-foot-6, 320-pounder from Evans, GA is ranked as the No. 13 interior offensive lineman in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. The four-star talent is the No. 222 player overall.

Next week on April 5, Short will announce a college commitment for the second time. He tells Hayes Fawcett it’s down to four schools: Georgia, Clemson, Ohio State, and Kentucky.

The first time Short committed, he chose to play for Eric Wolford at Alabama. That commitment lasted more than eight months until Nick Saban announced his retirement. Wolford did not stop recruiting Short once he arrived in Lexington. That lengthy relationship gives Kentucky a chance, but they’re certainly the wild card in this recruitment.

Georgia is the presumptive favorite in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). Late last night insider Chad Simmons logged a pick for the Dawgs. Kirby Smart recently lost a couple of Peach State players to USC. It does not look like he’s going to let another player get poached from his state.

Kentucky Hosting South Carolina Offensive Lineman this Weekend

It’s a busy time for the Kentucky football recruiting staff. Dozens of players are on campus for each spring practice to see how this new-look coaching staff operates.

Another full house is expected to be on campus this Saturday as spring breaks give opportunities for players to travel to schools across the country. Shed Sarratt will be making the trip to Lexington. A 6-foot-5, 300-pound offensive tackle from Gaffney, SC, Sarratt is a three-star talent, ranked as a top 50 player at his position in the 2025 recruiting class.
