NC State landed a commitment on Friday evening on Aug. 4 from Josh Alexander-Felton, a top priority class of 2024 defensive line prospect. The three-star recruit picked the Wolfpack during a ceremony at Orlando (Fla.) Edgewater High.

Alexander-Felton committed to NC State from a top five that also included Pittsburgh, UCF, Maryland and Georgia Tech. He officially visited the Wolfpack June 16-18. That was his first trip of the summer before traveling to see the Terrapins the following week.

The official visit was his first trip to campus after receiving an offer from the program March 8, and it left a great impression.

“I feel like family. It feels like a Pack, like I’m one of them,” Alexander-Felton said during that trip. “It’s a vibe out there.”

He previously planned on taking fall officials to UCF and Pittsburgh but decided to go ahead and shut down his recruitment this summer. Alexander-Felton most recently visited campus for the Alpha Wolf Showcase and said that trip went extremely well.

“It was my second time, and it felt like the first time, it was great,” Alexander-Felton said. “Great vibes, I felt comfortable … It’s a great environment and a good coaching staff.”

Defensive line coach coach Charley Wiles is his primary recruiter, and they built a really strong connection over the past few weeks.

Now that the rising senior is officially in the Wolfpack’s 2024 class, the program’s prep defensive line class is likely complete. Three-star prospects Justin Terrell and Chase Bond committed to the Wolfpack earlier this year.

Terrell projects as a nose tackle, while Bond and Alexander-Felton could play the end positions. All three prospects star in three-man defensive lines at the high school level. During his first NC State visit, the most recent Wolfpack commit was very enthusiastic about his ability to play all three positions on the NC State defensive line.

Alexander-Felton made 59 total tackles, including 12.5 for loss and 4 sacks as a junior. The On3 Industry Ranking considers him the No. 82 defensive lineman and the No. 122 prospect in Florida.

He was commit No. 15 for the Wolfpack’s 2024 class.
