Ole Miss and Auburn met for the 48th time in history on Saturday.

And the No. 13-ranked and favored Rebels came out on the winning end.

Ole Miss is out to at least a 6-1 start for the third consecutive season, the longest such streak since the 60s. The Rebels won at Auburn for the first time since 2015 and just the second time in 20 years. They have back-to-back wins over the Tigers for the first time since the 50s.

Ole Miss has now won at Auburn four times. Ever.

The Rebels jumped out to an early lead and finally pulled away from the Tigers in the second half. Ole Miss is 5-0 this season when scoring first.

Here are the other need-to-know notes from the most recent Rebel football win.

OFFENSIVE NOTES

Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart finished 10 for 17 through the air for 202 yards and a touchdown. He had three total touchdowns and 246 total offensive yards. … Dart carried 14 times for 44 yards and two additional scores. … The one-time USC transfer passed the 1,000-yard career rushing mark (1,003), with 960 of those yards coming as a Rebel. … Dart’s two rushing touchdowns gave him nine for his career. Seven have come in an Ole Miss uniform, including six this season. … Dart also tied his single-game career high for rushing touchdowns.

Dart owns 7,170 career yards of total offense.

He’s accounted for 5,774 of those yards at Ole Miss, the 10th-most in school history. He’s been responsible for 51 career total touchdowns. Forty are at Ole Miss. … Dart threw an interception in the second quarter, only his third on the year and his first since the third quarter against Alabama, a string of 82 consecutive pass attempts without an interception.

Start second-year Rebel running back Quinshon Judkins ran for 124 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. He’s tied for third at Ole Miss with 10 career 100-yard games.

Ole Miss RB Quinshon Judkins

Judkins moved into a tie for sixth all-time at Ole Miss in all-purpose touchdowns.

He’s in sole possession of fifth all-time in rushing touchdowns (23). … UTSA transfer wide receiver Zakhari Franklin caught two passes for 15 yards and his first Ole Miss touchdown. Franklin’s caught a pass in 49 consecutive games played, the third-longest streak in the FBS. … Franklin’s touchdown added to his lead atop the FBS active career touchdowns list (38). … Veteran Ole Miss tight end and Memphis transfer Caden Prieskorn produced 63 yards on two receptions, an Ole Miss best. His 34-yard catch in the first quarter was also his longest as a Rebel. The receiving yards are the most by an Ole Miss tight end since Casey Kelly had 81 on seven catches at Auburn in 2021. … The Rebels’ opening scoring drive of 6:07 minutes is their longest this season. … Ole Miss’ fourth drive of the second half — which went 90 yards and ended with a Dart rushing touchdown — is also a season-long for the Rebels.

DEFENSIVE NOTES

Ole Miss held Auburn to 275 yards of total offense, which followed 286 allowed against Arkansas two weeks ago. This marks the first time Ole Miss has kept consecutive SEC opponents to fewer than 300 yards since 2009 (Tennessee and LSU). The Tigers managed all of 122 passing yards. Those are the fewest by an Ole Miss opponent since holding Baylor to 40 in the 2022 Sugar Bowl. They’re also the fewest against an SEC opponent since Mississippi State (108) in November of 2019.

Ole Miss had two interceptions.

The Rebels had two against Arkansas, too. Not since 2021 had Ole Miss picked off multiple passes in consecutive games. Ole Miss last had back-to-back SEC outings with multiple interceptions in 2014.

Ole Miss linebacker Jeremiah Jean-Baptiste, an off-season transfer addition from UCF, led the Rebels in total tackles (7). Six were solos. He tied his career high for tackles for loss (2). … Veteran Rebel linebacker Ashanti Cistrunk had three tackles. Two were solos. Cistrunk was playing in his 55th consecutive game in as many career opportunities.

Miami (Ohio) transfer safety John Saunders, Jr., totaled three tackles and his second Ole Miss interception. It was the seventh of his career. … Rebel EDGE Jared Ivey tallied his third sack of the season for a loss of five yards. He finished with two tackles. … Cornerback Zamari Walton, a transfer from Georgia Tech, recorded his first career interception and second at Ole Miss. … Defensive ends Cedric Johnson and Isaac Ukwu combined on a sack. Johnson is up to 15.0 in his career. Ukwu has 20.0. … Johnson is Ole Miss’ active career leader.

SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES

Ole Miss punter Fraser Masin ended the night with five punts for 193 yards (38.6 avg.), including two inside the 20. One of his punts only went 10 yards. … Texas A&M transfer kicker Caden Davis launched all five of his kickoffs for touchbacks. Davis was 4 for 4 on point-after attempts. His only field goal try went bust due to a fumbled hold on the snap.
