Photos: The City of Columbia celebrates National Champion Gamecocks
The Gamecock Women’s Basketball team and staff were honored by the City of Columbia with a parade and pep rally to celebrate their third National Championship on a sunny and warm Sunday afternoon. The parade rolled down Main Street and culminated with a pep rally on the State House steps.
Gamecock FAMs showed up and showed out to celebrate their Champions. The parade featured over 100 vehicles. Dawn Staley received a new fashion accessory, a wrestling belt with all of she and the teams accomplishments. It was a day fit for the Champions!
