4-star CB Zabien Brown sets commitment date, names top schools

Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei four-star cornerback Zabien Brown is nearing a decision. He also knows what schools he’ll be picking from.
Brown will make his college decision on July 9 and will be picking between Alabama, Ohio State and USC.
The 6-foot-1, 180-pound defensive back is the No. 62 overall prospect and No. 7 cornerback in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 5 player in California.
According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), USC stands as the heavy favorite to land Brown’s pledge. The Trojans have an 87.9% chance to land his commitment.
Brown has visited USC more than any school up to this point in his recruitment. He took his first official visit of June to USC heading back to campus on June 2.

Alabama and Ohio State also hosted Brown for officials in June. He was in Columbus on June 16 and Tuscaloosa on June 23.
“It’s really Alabama and USC,” Brown told BamaOnline’s Joseph Hastings in late June. “I really loved Ohio State when I went out there but, from my personal standpoint and my personal takeaways, it has a lot of similarities to USC… it was too similar to USC and I couldn’t see myself going across the country for something in my backyard.”
Brown currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $125K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
