Dallas Cowboys tweets 'It's not a setback' about Dak Prescott's 2nd MRI

The Dallas Cowboys attempted to assure Cowboys fans that Dak Prescott’s MRI was nothing to worry about, in a strange tweet that ended up leading to more questions than answers.
“It’s not a setback,” the tweet read. “And it’s not a reason to worry. But QB Dak Prescott is planning on getting another MRI.”
The article by Nick Atman tweeted out by the Cowboys states that Prescott is planning on getting a precautionary MRI to check out his right shoulder strain that has limited him in the early part of preseason camp. Prescott previously told media Wednesday he was making good progress on the injury which had held him out of camp for over a week. Prescott even resumed light throwing during the week.
“Once I get back in the team setting, I’m not going to think about my arm,” Prescott said in the article. “It’s about progressing at the right time. It all felt good out there. Every throw I made. When they tell you stop, you don’t want to hear it, but you (stop).”
Prescott’s Recent Injury History
Prescott suffered a compound fracture and dislocated his right ankle against the New York Giants just five games into the 2020 season. The Cowboys season, which had already started shaky when Prescott went down, collapsed after the injury. After being expected to win the NFC East, and potentially contend to win the NFC, the Cowboys went 6-10 and finished third in their division.
Prescott appears to have completely healed from the ankle injury but the shoulder strain popped up over the summer. The original MRI revealed Prescott had a latissimus strain. HBO show Hard Knocks is following the Cowboys this preseason and the strain was revealed to the public in the first episode.
