The Green Bay Packers have announced signing the following players to their practice squad, the team announced Wednesday afternoon via their website. The Packers released information on how to pronounce certain players names if curious.

Green Bay Packers practice squad

Defensive Lineman Abdullah Anderson

Anderson is a 6-foot-3, 303-pound defensive lineman out of Bucknell. He played in six games in 2019 with the Chicago Bears, racking up four tackles and one sack. He also played one game in 2020 with the Minnesota Vikings.

Quarterback Kurt Benkert

Benkert is one of the Packers’ most high-profile practice squad members. You can read more about him here. In his final two seasons at Virginia, Benkert threw for over 5,700 passing yards, while tossing in 46 touchdowns and 20 interceptions.

Wide Receiver Chris Blair

Here is some info on Chris Blair from a tweet once the Packers signed him in January, 2021. Check the tweet below.

Guard Ben Braden

It was a surprise that Braden was released since he played so much in the 2021 preseason, but they decided to sign him to the practice squad.

Here is more info about him from a Yahoo Sports article by Zach Kruse.

“In fact, Braden played the second-most snaps of any offensive player during the preseason. His 154 snaps trailed only the 157 from Yosh Nijman. He played 103 snaps at right tackle, 39 at left guard and 12 at right guard. According to Pro Football Focus, Braden allowed five pressures, including a sack, but he was still the team’s 10th highest-graded offensive player overall.”

He played in six games for the Packers last season, including both playoff games.

Guard/Tackle Jacob Capra

Capra is a 6-foot-5, 300-pound rookie out of San Diego State.

Cornerback Kabion Ento

Ento is a 6-foot-1, 185-pound defensive back out of Colorado. He’s a former wide receiver out of Colorado who switched positions to defensive back.

Safety Innis Gaines

The Packers signed Innis Gaines to the practice squad. He was named to the second team All-Big 12 in 2018.
