The Pittsburgh Steelers are facing their bitter rivals, the Baltimore Ravens, just as the calendar turned to December and history tells us these matchups are some of the greatest between the two division foes.

Though Baltimore has bee far from perfect, Lamar Jackson and a surging defense are sitting at (8-3) and have found a knack for winning, despite any odds in front of them.

Mike Tomlin’s Steelers have been a much different story. Their last victory came over a Chicago Bears team that’s mostly rebuilding. Pittsburgh won by just two points and that came nearly a full month ago.

Injuries have been one of the biggest hinderances to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ season, but Tomlin will be the first to tell you he refuses to make excuses.

After a dreadful tie to the Lions and back-to-back losses the Steelers enter Thursday night’s primetime showdown desperate for a victory.

Once again, they will be with out several starters , highlighted by cornerback Joe Haden who has shown promise in his recovery, but can’t find his way to the field.

For the most part, this isn’t as bad of an injury report that the Steelers have released this season.

Pittsburgh Steelers final updates before kickoff

Joe Haden missed practice for the second straight day, still dealing with a foot injury that forced him to miss the last two games. Defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs was added to the injury report, limited on Thursday with an ankle injury. In addition, cornerback Arthur Maulet missed practice on Thursday, newly added with a quadricep injury.
