Pittsburgh Steelers release Week 5 Wednesday injury report
The Pittsburgh Steelers released their Wednesday injury report ahead of their Week Five game against the Denver Broncos. With both starting quarterbacks working back from injury, backups Drew Lock and Mason Rudolph are preparing for a possible meeting.
Beyond quarterback, the Pittsburgh Steelers are dealing with a number of key injuries, which could cause problems this weekend. While some players are likely to play, questions remain about who will be at 100 percent and who will not.

Did not practice – QB Ben Roethlisberger (Pectoral/Hip), CB Cam Sutton (Groin), OL Kevin Dotson (Hip), DT Carlos Davis (Knee)
The Steelers missed key players on both sides of the ball during Wednesday’s practice. The biggest name on the list is starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who has struggled to start his 18th season. Kevin Dotson can be a key piece on the offensive line when healthy as well. Cam Sutton is a valuable member of the secondary and Davis is a reserve lineman.

Limited participants – WR Chase Claypool (Hamstring), WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (Ribs), OL Trai Turner (Illness), OL Rashaad Coward (Ankle), DT Cameron Heyward (Neck)
The Steelers missed two starting wide receivers during parts of practice. Both Chase Claypool and JuJu Smith-Schuster were limited but played last week against the Green Bay Packers. Two more offensive linemen, Trai Turner and Rashaad Coward were also limited in practice. Turner was a key acquisition on the Steelers revamped line but is dealing with an illness. Star defensive lineman Cameron Heyward was also limited with a neck injury.
Full participants – OL Chukwuma Okorafor (Concussion)
Chukwuma Okorafor’s return to practice after a concussion is one of the few positive signs for the Pittsburgh Steelers on Wednesday’s Week Five injury report. With Dotson, Turner and Coward all limited or out of practice this week, his return could help anchor the line whether it is Roethlisberger or Rudolph behind center.
