The Las Vegas Raiders signed former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Isaiah Buggs on Tuesday afternoon, according to Tom Pelissero. Buggs signed with the practice squad and is eligible to play in the postseason for the Raiders after clearing waivers.

Buggs was a rotational piece for Pittsburgh but was sidelined with an ankle injury prior to his release. He also went on the reserve/COVID-19 list at the end of December. The team released Buggs on Jan. 9 to make room on the 53-man roster.

The Steelers drafted Buggs with the 192nd pick in the 2019 NFL Draft out of Tuscaloosa. In three seasons, he played 29 games with 31 total tackles for Pittsburgh.

The former Alabama defensive lineman contributed for two seasons for the Crimson Tide. In 2018, he posted 51 tackles with 9.5 sacks and two forced fumbles. Isaiah Buggs signed a 4-year, $2.68 million rookie deal with the Steelers.

The Raiders finished the regular season in second in the AFC West at 10-7. After a bumpy middle of the season, Las Vegas wrapped up with four consecutive wins. They face the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. ET.

Raiders wideout scores impressive TD

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Hunter Renfrow has been having a breakout year. Tonight against the LA Chargers on Sunday Night Football, he’s once again showing that he’s one of the best route runners in football.

He shook Chargers’ corner Michael Davis right out of his shoes.

Simply put, that’s one of the prettiest routes you’ll see run all season long in the NFL. Renfrow set that up beautifully.

With his 12-yard touchdown catch, the former Clemson star put the Raiders up 10-0. He’s been one of the best route runners in the National Football League the past few years and his chemistry with Derek Carr is among the best in the league.
