WATCH: Rob Gronkowski performs on stage with Vanilla Ice singing "Ice, Ice Baby"

Vanilla Ice has been one of the more iconic rappers in pop culture ever since he rolled out the hit single, “Ice, Ice Baby” back in 1990. The song garnered critical acclaim and it became the first hip hop single to top the Billboard charts. Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski is a bit of a cultural phenomenon himself. So when people showed up to a recent function and Vanilla Ice was up on stage performing, “Ice, Ice Baby”, they got a special bonus when Gronkowski jumped up on stage to join the rap star.

Believe it or not, Gronkowski and Vanilla Ice actually go pretty well together. The appearance by the Ninja Turtle, Michelangelo in the background is yet another added bonus of this performance. It brings back many memories of Vanilla Ice and the appearance he made in the hit movie, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze” in 1991. Near the end of that movie, Ice performed a song called, “Ninja Rap”. The movie was wildly popular and was made on a budget of $25 million. After it was all said and done, the hit movie grossed $78.7 million at the box office.

Vanilla Ice was already the most popular rapper in the world at the time, but the appearance in the Ninja Turtles movie only increased his popularity across the globe.

Rob Gronkowski is still undecided on whether or not to return to the Tampa Bay Bucs next season

Rob Gronkowski has been flirting with the idea of either staying retired or possibly coming back to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to join his longtime friend, Tom Brady. Gronk recently stated that he is 50/50 on whether or not he returns to play in the NFL next season.

During the past two seasons, Gronkowski pulled in 117 passes for 1,651 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Fans in Tampa are surely hoping he does, as he’s still shown the unstoppable form that has turned him into one of the most dominant tight ends to ever play the game.
