WATCH: Rams defender proposes to girlfriend after Super Bowl
Los Angeles Rams safety Taylor Rapp picked up more than just a Super Bowl victory Sunday. After the Rams defeated Cincinnati by a score of 23-20 to claim the championship, Rapp was seen proposing to his longtime girlfriend as teammates and media looked on.
The safety received a resounding yes, placing the ring on his girlfriend’s finger before the two shared a hug.
Rapp played an integral part in the Super Bowl victory, recording seven tackles. The Washington product finished second on the team with 94 tackles in the regular season, to go along with a career-high four interceptions and six passes defended. He started in all 17 regular season games for the first time since entering the league in 2019.
Finding itself down 20-16 late in the fourth quarter, Los Angeles put together a miraculous game-winning drive. The Rams marched 79 yards down the field in 15 plays, led by the duo of Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp. The pair connected four times for 39 yards during the drive, including the go-ahead touchdown with 1:25 remaining.

The Bengals got the ball back and quickly reeled off a couple of plays for positive gain. However, Cincinnati would eventually turn it over on downs after Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald landed a hit on quarterback Joe Burrow that pressured him into getting rid of the ball, which fell incomplete.
The victory was the second Super Bowl in the history of the franchise and its first in the city of Los Angeles. The last time the Rams won the Super Bowl was in 1999 when they were still located in St. Louis. They improved their all-time record in the big game to 2-3.
Rapp is under contract with the Rams for one more season before he becomes a free agent in 2023. Based on his recent success, the team will likely attempt to re-sign him as a key piece of their secondary going forward. Either way, he has plenty to look forward to in the future.
